The film can be based at sports fans, tennis fans in particular. Every sports fan loves to see an underdog come up on top. I know this from my own experience of watching sports and researching the media. For example; if Manchester united lost to Fulham the press would think it was fantastic because initially nobody thought Fulham had a chance!http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2778824/Fulham-3-Manchester-United-0.html
The film can also be aimed at teenage girls; it has elements of a ‘chick flick’ in it, with the two girls becoming friends eventually and Lindsay finding inspiration. It could be described as ‘a sporting version of mean girls’ , where we find out that the queen bee does have a soft side and is eventually made to eat her words.
The film can also be aimed at the comedy market; Films such as Dodge Ball are very similar to my own. The film is comical in the terms that this poor girl Lindsay is having a horrible time of it in training, many people who understand sports and comedy would find this amusing.
I like that you've tried to be specific about your target audience, but also give your film a broad appeal. When you move onto the production of the poster, you'll need to think carefully about which auidence you're going to target with that - will you keep it broad or will you go for the teenage audience?
