What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Were my products effective in appealing to the target audience?

I originally stated that my target audience was sports fans, tennis fans in particular. So I decided to send a link to my trailer and ancillary tasks followed by a questionnaire to 10 tennis fans that I know to see what they thought of my trailer, film poster and magazine cover. I did this using Web 2.0 technology in the form of Facebook.

The questionnaire's asked the following questions, to be responded to by a yes or no answer.

  1. Did you like the fact the voice over was a character speaking and not a deep manly voice?
  2. Did you think that the setting was appropriate for a tennis film?
  3. Did you like the choices of music and sound effects throughout the trailer?
  4. Did the trailer make it clear as to what the plot of the film was about?
  5. Was it easy to tell the difference in the ability of the two tennis players?
  6. Did the coach come across as a mean coach?
  7. Were the costumes of the characters appropriate for a tennis film?
  8. Was the trailer funny?
  9. Did you want to see the film after watching the trailer?
  10. Overall did you like the trailer?
Film poster questionnaire;

  1. Did the poster give you a clear image of a tennis film?
  2. Could you tell from the image used that one character was serious and the other wasn’t?
  3. Would you be interested in seeing the film after looking at the poster?
  4. Did the poster appear comical?
  5. Overall did you like the poster?

Magazine Cover Questionnaire;

  1. Is the main image used for the film eye catching?
  2. Did the use of several images give a good insight into what the plot of the film was about?
  3. Would you be interested in seeing the film after viewing this magazine cover?
  4. Does the magazine cover make it clear to what the film is called?
  5. Overall did you like the magazine cover?
